Projection might be invasive. Is screen the best method? Use feedback mechanism. Possible resource in Shanghai: Ultraleap from projector screen to LED screen, controlled just with hands. Remember tech is last, what are you trying to say/solve? And scale it down a little, it can just be a product for "my grandma"

Lean methodology: non-linear, very circular, iterative. making & showing often & changing. Tips: keep it realistic, currently missing some research/science. Talk about the actual experience, now only heard surrounding. Suggestions for the visual: can be seasonal, mimicking actual environment, add music. Questions to think through: what kind of experience of you want to have? If there is an immersive wall with paintings, what do you want to be on there? Can be videos, rain on window / sound effects, or mountain scene. Is it loop, timed or 24-hr on? Helpful reference: https://www.window-swap.com

Clarify questions in the survey: differentiate interface and display. Interface: keyboard, headphone vs. Display: projector screen, phone screen, TV. Instead of only audio-visual, try adding more senses (ex. smelling) to enrich the experience. How about a narrated guided experience?

Try asking NYU Aging Incubator, their perspective on this topic (tech for elder). This way you can get quicker info which is also from a professional point of view. The key: social interactions, loneliness, so maybe they can talk to the screen and get responses or music? For instance: "help me find sth on the phone" "go to xx channel on the TV". Need to think about how we can design differently for this age group, perhaps curated content is helpful.

Thoughts: clone of his/her companion, voice of them, or hearing/talking with the help of AI? If it's too difficult or not enough time to realize, can just be a design/prototype/concept. What's easier to realize: maybe voice/audio related interface for them to socialize. Suggestions: go to the elderly home and actually gauge their life closely. Narrow down - elderly who lost their partner? who can't walk? who have bad eye sight so voice is the best way? every person has different stories beyond 75.
